Teac A-3340S

So today I was able to get my hands on a Teac A-3340S and not sure honestly what to do with it.  A member of my church passed away and the church was just helping with giving away items. When I saw it I figured it was something I shouldn't pass up. I would love some advice when it comes to keeping it ( not that I see myself using it much) or selling it.  It seems to be in good shape and of course I would want a professional to look over it and make sure it is in good working order.

Hi. New to the forum. My TEAC A3340S tape transport controls stopped functioning. The "dummy plug" is plugged in. I'm curious if I purchased an RC-120 if it would bypass the front panel and activate the transport.

I doubt it, the remote 'talks' to the same electronics the panel buttons do. If they don't work, the motors are not getting the instructions in either case.
where do you live? I may have a Teac remote with like 15' long fat cord in a box downstairs, are you anywhere near New Jersey, 07062? You could try it, learn something.

I can take em apart, clean, new belts, new lube, brake/speed/rewind adjustments, physical alignments, but nothing involving the electronics.

In the service manual, are there internal fuses you can check?

I had that deck, and still have a heavy duty oak travel case for it in my crawl space under the kitchen floor.
