Opinions on VTL preamps

I’ve had a TL-2.5 preamp for over 20 years.
One minor repair.

Upgraded to the TL-5.5 & I’ve had it for 6 years.
One minor repair.

Both preamps are sonic gems with the right tubes. Amps are too.

MB-125’s - no problems
MB-185’s - incoming

It’s their earlier ones that had problems…

VTL sounds good no doubt....its their customer service that is HORRIBLE.      Worst experience ever dealing with them regarding repair.  

I owned a 2.5 for a while.  Solid gear.  I have owned VTL gear for years,  I've toured their manufacturing facility, great product, good service and wonderful people.
