Table for your Turntable? Show ‘em offf!

  1. Anyone else out there found that perfect table to proudly showcase your Turntable on? Not just a regular stand, but a table worthy of resting your prize possession on? A table that will impress company when they come over? Maybe you custom built your own, because you just couldn’t find what you wanted? Take a picture and add what make & model Turntable. I’m still searching for mine. I found one, but it got sold Before I got off of work.

Great Idea, I thought more people would respond.

I added photos to this LP listing just to show my system/TT here.

I have my TT at a comfortable operating height (bad knees, bad back, bad attitude). I highly encourage doing this if possible/eventually. It just worked out bit by bit.

The JVC Plinth is big, a simple custom size glass shelf solved it. On top of two ventilated equipment surrounds I designed/built with their own glass shelves. On top of a rack with glass ventilated shelves.

2x2 Iso-blocks separate the TT from everything below, just enough to deal with my springy wood floor. The equipment surrounds have their own firm rubber isolators, and each glass shelf sits on it’s firm rubber isolators, part of the rack’s design, why I chose it, aside from looks.
.........................

Happily the weight of the JVC spinner is forward, so I did not need to add any support under the overhang in the back as I might have.

I was going to make a skirt below the plinth, but Donna likes the daylight coming thru, a lighter look, OK! I promised her the top of that rack for plants when we bought it many years ago. Notice the plants are on trays (felt pads on bottom). I move the trays of plants from the Reel to Reel player to the TT, or back on the R2R mostly to play LP’s.
.............................

A 3rd ventilated equipment stand I built supports my Cayin Tube Amp over my McIntosh Tube Tuner/Preamp. Small cabinet moves on felt feet, Front and Back wide open, air in/out below/above the side panels. Preamp slides in/out independently, leave the heavy amp in place, that’s a treat.

............................

Ours is a small split level, only 1200 sq. ft. so space is a premium. The large room (for this house) is a music/dining table at the end shown, listening as shown by my feet. Turn the chair(s) around, now at the side of the other end, living/small home theater with it’s own system. The DBX 100 mains produce a very wide center image, the small Bose center channel is in the space below the TV’s glass shelf and wood cabinet I modified below, small rear surround speakers on their backs firing up behind the sofa, a single sub just for Jurassic Park Dinosaur Stomp.

That's not a speaker above the TV, lousy photo, it's a cool metal sculpture my brother made.
I just saw your original post asking for model numbers. This TT is one of my proudest achievements, I had a lot of help here.

As I mentioned, I designed/built my ventilated equipment surrounds below my TT, and simply ordered a custom size piece of glass with rounded corners to fit on top of two of them side by side.

SUT into beloved Phono section of vintage McIntosh mx110z Tube Tuner Preamp. I just had Audio Classics overhaul the mx110z, it now has new gold plated RCA jacks.

I’m heading downstairs to play something on it right now!

All of these are AWESOME!!! I just KNEW that I wasn’t the only person so passionate about my turntable!!!
