James, I also have the "Rhymin Simon" album, bought it new in 1973.  It's excellent!

Your question on the SQ of my "I Robot" UHQR pressing.  The sound is slightly tilted up, a signature of the times.  However, not at all bombastic or obnoxious.  And the overall depth, imaging is a definite notch above the standard pressing.  The vinyl is exceptionally quiet, which was one of the hallmark traits of the UHQR series.  It is truly excellent!  I wouldn't pay the going price for it (around $500 and up) but I am truly happy that I got my copy when it retailed for $50 and paid only $35 for it. 😃👍

Joel, That is a record to be treasured. I only wish I’d made MOFI, et. al. more of a priority during my life. Still somewhat playing catch-up on long wished for records but coincidental to the vinyl frenzy I’m now priced out of many of them. I do need more focus when it comes to record acquisition and friends here on the thread certainly help with that. Do especially enjoy finding bargains but of course that’s getting harder all the time along with the exponential growth in prices.
Can’t say enough how much Paul Simon’s music has meant to me. However much I loved TGRS as a kid I don’t think I realized just how good it sounds. I mean, Something So Right” one of the best test tracks you might imagine and it’s on a very commonly owned album.

Joel, I love I Robot.  I have the UHQR also, #168 and the MFSL Original Master Recording 2 disc 45 RPM version.  I paid a bit more for the UHQR than you did, but nowhere near $500.  Things are getting crazy!
