Now Playing:

Peter Laughner, The Smog Veil box set

+1, amazing collection of music from Peter and other musicians who would go on to join the likes of Pere Ubu and other Cleveland bands.

Sad thing is it looks as though Frank (Smog Veil) has sold out of the box set.  And even more distressing, Frank has decided to retire the label after 30 years.  So much amazing music from NE Ohio was showcased because of Smog Veil.  They will be sorely missed.

Evidently this is all that remains: https://www.smogveil.com/collections/all

@puffball08

I really lucked out on this box. I snagged one about a month ago for $40 shipped. Really sad to hear there are no more and that the label is folding. Seminal recordings.

@sbank

@bkeske You're inspiring me to pull classical LPs, thank you.

Bartok - Concerto For Orchestra - CSO/Reiner (Classic Records)

Albeniz - Suite Espanola - DeBurgos/New Philharmonia (Super Analog Disc-Japan)

👍🏼 Enjoy. I bet that Bartok with Reiner is excellent!

Happy Thanksgiving all. Just arrived at my moms for the next day and a half, so no music for me unfortunately

Happy Thanksgiving to all ! Best thread and group of music lovers on Audiogon :-) I am grateful for the fellowship
