Some really great music, and happy I stopped.

Last year I went and stood in line at Music Millennium at five in the morning. A week later they still had stock on most titles.

This year I didn’t go in until early afternoon, and there were still a lot of copies of all titles save one: the Chris Isaak Sun Records tribute album. Only one left, so I nabbed it. I’ll pick up a coupla others (the train song album, maybe the Johnnie Johnson, San Cooke, and live Little Feat) later.

MM also had Lucinda’s Funny How Time Slips Away (Lu’s Jukebox Volume 4) on sale for $14.99! I also found the debut by Lone Justice in Mint condition for five bucks. The excellent drummer on that first album---Don Heffington (later heard on albums by Buddy Miller and Van Dyke Parks)---died this past March, same age as I. It's weird to know you are in all likelihood in the final decade of your life.

It’s a great time to be an LP lover/buyer, ain’t it?
