The new Rega Ania MC cartridge is nice. My fist MC. Softer sounding (not as loud at same volume setting as my MM) but more focused I'd say. Not a huge difference to my ADC QLM 32 mk2 MM cartridge though (maybe that my 57 year old ears are accoustome to this sound as it's all I have really used for 40 years). Am I right to assume it needs X amount of hours to break in? So far, I'm happy. A new sound and experience is always welcome.

Loving that album. Really getting into Eno these days.

Passed on his "ambient 4 - on land" album this weekend at a used record shop simply cuz I didn’t know it. Went home, streamed. WOW, gotta call that shop up and try put it on hold for me.

Also really enjoying Robert Fripp stuff also.

“Wantin’ Ain’t Gettin’” should have made Greatest Hits IMO.

“Never My Love” gives me goose bumps—I like it when a song does that! Few do.

Hate to ask, but, you did change the switch from MM to MC on your phono stage to increase the gain to match the lower output of the MC cartridge?

And yes, I believe all cartridges benefit from 50-100 hours of break-in. Should improve gradually over time until you get some hours on it.

I haven't had an MC cartridge in a long time. The phono section in my current integrated amp only supports MM cartridges.
