@mammothguy54  - That's really cool. I hope it comes out well. Please let us know once you hear it. I was not impressed with another artist's version of this action.

Lucinda Williams re-recorded "Sweet Old World" as "This Sweet Old World". The original recording is kinda of low-fi, so it made logical sense to re-record it. However, Lucinda was not the same artist she was 25 years earlier. Although the sound quality of the new recording was much better, I did not like the performance, at all, compared to the original. Of course, other feel differently. And that's OK too...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you! You still at Mammoth? How many ski days have you gotten in already this season?

@reubent   Thanks for the words and I will take that into consideration.  However, I am a Dave Mason fan so for the very fair price of the album I think I will indeed make the purchase.  And, of course, will report on the performance as well as the SQ once I receive it (end of January, if it's on time for deliver date).

As for skiing, 4 days thus far this season.  I'll be back up to Mammoth in early January, after all of the Holidays.  Being retired there is no longer any reason to go skiing amongst the crowds.  My target is to score a minimum of 30 ski days this season.  And Happy Holidays to you, too.  Be safe and healthy.

Limehouse Jazzband – Rhythm Is Our Business (Stomp Off 1981)

Love this album.

So I played the Limehouse album again. Last time on the Decca (Garrott Bros.) Gold (newer line contact tip) on the 9" Jelco 850 through the Croft R phono. Replayed it with the Decca Super Gold (Paratrace tip) on the 12" Jelco 850 through Croft RS phono. Both with Decapods.

Man, the difference between a $1100 cartridge and a $1800 one from the same stable.

must just be the phono section…ha. Messing with you.

I think i need a much needed pilgrimage to Joshua Tree….
