What'd You Get For Xmas?

Jewish, so I got my Hanukah gift weeks ago: A NOS quad of 1960s Raytheon 5842/417A windmill getter tubes for my phono preamp! Heaven! Unbelievable improvement in the sound stage from the WE 417A I had in there. Tube upgrades always make me happy!

@astolfor Sorry for any delays on the Heritage Astolfo.  I think you know we care, but you have a request that we are filling and everything is slow.  We've been right on it.

Solidtech is another matter.  I was going to buy one myself but the company is not going to do well here the way they structure making purchases by end-users.  It's way to difficult to sell.  The net result is the importer gave up on it.  I suspect you told Kat exactly what you want?  If so I can try to contact them at the factory.

I took on Pathos as the importer because I love it the product is so amazing in every way shape and form, but they are truly artisan-made and slow.  Other importers would not invest in inventory and also were not technical enough to explain just why their product is so unique.

But I want you to know we do care.  I'm never on any forums...ever.  But happened to see this.  Have  great new year.  Kevin Deal

i was blessed to give away some D2D and 45 rpm vinyl and my lovely wife and i have a glassblowing workshop to attend as a mutual gift. Got some stargazing planned for Joshua Tree in the coming month.

Several nice orchids to baby and coax into blooming.  Not audiophile I know, but very cool and very appreciated.  Audio purchases coming soon now that I am off work for a couple months (landscaper).  Dac and phono stage first up I think.  I have a few things to sell off.

I did purchase a new REL t9x recently so i guess we can say it was an early Xmas gift to myself.  Working out very nicely btw.

Happy holidays to all!

Nothing Audiophile in nature, I only trust myself for such things....however, what I did get is very nice. I did set up a small system, including a turntable, for my daughter. It makes me happy that she can now enjoy what I do, albeit, on a lower level. It was great fun configuring the system and setting it all up for her.
