@grannyring did you have these cables prior to the new speakers and amp changes? Just curious about the differences in cable transition if from old to new components.
聖HIJIRI Users thread
Based on a discussion with another forum member, I've been reading up on this Comback Corporation brand. The reviews I've found have been pretty positive, but I've also learned over the years to take all reviews with a grain of salt. So the purpose of this thread is for users to share their input on 聖HIJIRI cables. When you share, if you'd discuss what model of HIJIRI you demoed and what brands/models they were compared to, that'd be very helpful.
A little background: a few years ago I was reading the Audio Envy threads and decided to give them a try as the seemed to compete with much higher-priced cable. So I decided to give AE a try. I found both the $179 P2 and the $279 M3 to easily best an Isotek power cord at $1k. So that got me thinking even more about value products. I was about to give Zavfino a try and then was given another recommendation to give HIJIRI a try. So this is how I got here. I'll be very interested to hear all user comments on HIJIRI and this should be a good repository for the brand.

@grannyring Thanks for your comments about a couple of USB cables that are not made by Hijiri. I apologize if my question moved the discussion too far away from the main topic of this thread, but I do think that comparisons and comments about how different brands of cable can work well together is highly relevant to the topic at hand. I find it especially useful to hear that a particular USB cable integrates well with your loom of Hijiri cables because it improves body, fluidity, and smoothness. Those are characteristics attributed to Hijiri cables by users on this thread and in professional reviews. Those are also characteristics shared by my current preference in interconnects - namely, the Cardas Clear Reflection. There are certainly interconnects that emphasize detail more than the CR, but it is usually at the expense of smoothness, tonality, and naturalness. It sounds like the Hijiri cables share many of the strengths of the CR but may differ in subtle ways that affect the match to a system's sound or to a listener's preferences. The upper tier of the Hijiri cables are out of my price range, but the lower tier may be worth a listen at some point. |
If anyone can give comparisons to equally priced Synergistic Research power cords/cable it would be much appreciated. And Colin of gestalt, I have problem with you chiming in here as I hold no prejudices against you. In fact, if grannyring says your cool, that's enough for me. I know I could have easily made a phone call but it seemed more interesting to me trying to get responses here, now on Audiogon. Thanks all. |
@tomic601, Yes! That’s exactly what I meant. Thank you |
