Heifetz Reiner 1955 recording for my favorite. Thanks for posting some of your favorites for me to check out

Ditto...  Milstein (EMI Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra - Steinberg) is a fantastic performance. Sound is excellent for a 65 year old recording.

Milstein does a stunning Brahms but he is also my favourite in Bach.

Julia is a mean player also and I know 5559 has a soft spot for her.

Leonidas Kavakos does a soaring Brahms nobly assisted by Riccardo Chailly and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
