Sub questions

I have a sub (soon to be 2) that has the option of front firing or down firing. When I got it, it was already set up for down and I never bothered to try front. Does anyone have a strong opinion either way?

Also....the floors in my house are all ceramic tile. If I keep them down firing, would I benefit from putting small rugs under them?

If it matter, subs are run at very low volume and crossed around 60 hz (still dialing things in in a new room and with a new amp).

What say you?

Try it all ways that’s the fun and it’s easy if it’s not huge.

agree.

sometimes we have to try things on our own

Agree. Esp when the 2nd one arrives. Already getting ideas for positioning.

But yah I think I will change this one to front and see what happens.

I sure wish I hadn't sold my Gallos.

You could also try firing it toward the wall pulled out about 2-3 inches. Sounds odd I know, but I've done this in the past with good results.

I’ve had both types, down firing and front, and truthfully I could easily be happy with either. Placement of the subs is the most important issue.
