Remember the Electric Light Orchestra

Does anyone remember ELO?  To me, that is like asking “Does anyone remember Gonoreah?”  I’m sorry.......I generally like those kinds of quasi-prog type bands, but there is something about that band that totally turns me off.  They have a few decent tunes but the overall sound is just too over the top hokey, cornball, cheeze.

Listen to the first few albums, before they became overly pop. Great stuff.

I found a copy of Eldorado at Goodwill for $2.50! Perfect condition and sounds amazing. 

BTW, I’m a fan of Jeff Lynne, but I’m not so sure that Roy Wood wasn’t the real genius in this band - if only briefly

was a huge fan of Roy - still got my pressings of “Wizzard Brew“ and “Introducing Eddie and the Falcons“ and a “Flowers in the Rain“ 45….
