Audiophile recordings of stage musicals

What are some audiophile quality recordings of stage musicals? I prefer the classics such as Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Les Miserables, the works by Rogers and Hammerstein, etc.  It doesn't matter if it's the original cast recording or a revival, or if it's from the Broadway or London cast.  Performance is important, as is SQ.  I strongly prefer recordings from the stage version, will accept suggestions for the film versions.

I did do a google search and one recommendation was the 60th anniversary reissue of the original Broadway cast recording of The Sound of Music.

Thanks for your suggestions

I can’t point out any classics, but two more recent Broadway cast recordings That sound good are Sting’s The Last Ship, and Dylan’s Girl from North County.

I've been listening to Guys and Dolls for 50 years (maybe more). Dad had the box set on 45 and I have the same on CD. Movie cast recording, still sounds pretty good.

surely the performance is paramount, buying recordings for SQ is for listening to your system, which is what a lot of audiophiles do….

Jesus Christ Superstar! Both the original cast recording and the 25th anniversary London cast version. I was listening to the original version back in 1970!
