Ever wonder who is pressing vinyl these days around the world? (hint: way more than you think)

Note, this is not only pressing plants, but brokers, mastering and technology companies related to vinyl pressing.

And some pressing plants do only one size of record.

If I counted correctly, there are 30 operating pressing plants in the US.  

And following on to my previous vinyl pressing information,

According to the RIAA, CD sales increased in 2021 for the first time in two decades.

Still, streaming accounts for 83% of revenue versus 11% for vinyl and CD sales.

However, of the 11% of revenue, vinyl sales accounted for 63%.  This continues a 15 year trend of vinyl’s resurgence.
