I think that this is tremendous news for Rolling Stones enthusiasts who have the just gotta have it desire, for any number of reasons that they don’t have to even think about having to explain to anyone.

Its a bit pricey probably because reasons - it is hardly aimed at the throw away if ya don’t like it mindless-set.

{Anyway, if these are discs that were first issued in the 60s, then you have to multiply the price paid then by 20 times or more to get the equivalent new price today, on account of inflation..}

I like to think that some of us may feel the same about certain special things in our own lives from time to time.

Any bets on when the thread on "Rolling Stones mono reissues disappointing" drops? You don't get early Stones albums for SOTA sound.

I do have all the period US mono releases. IMO, it's the only way to listen to early Stones.

Why bother when you can get a good period press for a decent price?

At least you get the cool factor of it being a period press.

You need the DSD versions, honestly who wants to listen to mono?

If you're a millennial that has never heard mono before just cover one ear and there you have it.

Audiofools!

Mono in some cases, enhances the "illusion" of the band in a imaginary stage formation rather than a recording studio. No hard L/R like those awful Beatles recordings. It's subjective, but perhaps you haven't experienced a top flight mono setup and "stamper grade" mono LP?

Listen to "Lady Jane" from Aftermath in mono, on a proper rig-breathtaking.

The DSD versions are good, but have a sterile/ too perfect vibe to them. I bought several CD's when they were released. Still play them now and then.
