That is about the finest description of a band that I've ever read on this site. I do not doubt at all that Willy Vlautin was influenced by both Ford and Carver, which makes me look forward even more to reading his books in a couple of months when my workload lightens. @slaw I keep a list going on my phone of all my record orders. I’ve had to copy and move that one up the list several times so as not to forget it. Really looking forward to having my own copy of Shangra-La ( and the rest, only a couple of repeats) hope it’s a good pressing. |
