The Good Stuff

There are simply two kinds of music, good music and the other kind ... the only yardstick by which the result should be judged is simply that of how it sounds. If it sounds good it's successful; if it doesn't it has failed. --  Duke Ellington

This purpose of this thread is to provide a place to post outstanding examples of the Good Music.

This tread to me is all what the forums should be. 👍

My only wish is that instead of YouTube videos they could be placed on a Qobuz playlist so I wouldn't have to look up each track / artist and add them to by favorites manually.

Well rok , A recording is not a live concert .

I n the last 50+ yearsI have been to over 2,000 live Classical concerts .

A dozen of them were the LSO . They have the power of Berlin and with English

composers (some) the melody of Vienna . It is what I said it is , good as any .

When Previn had it  better at times .I have not heard Cleveland in 40 yrs,

All I know is that Cleveland is THE poorest of any major American city , what

that means for the Orchestral world I now not what..

If that is not a Great Orchestra there is no such thing !

Folks seemed to agree .

Folks seemed to agree

So do I.  I just have an American bias, just as you have a European bias.
