Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth

Philip Glass - Songs From Liquid days

Fritz Reiner - The Reiner Sound

bkeske, i was just listening to notorious byrd bros. as well--easily their best even if  "space oddysey" sounds a bit dated. i just learned that "get to you" was miscredited on the record and is actually a gene clark song.

ruebent, your frontier folk nebraska is a real find--one of those hard-to-categorize bands who will forever labor in undeserved obscurity.

@loomisjohnson  - I really like Frontier Folk Nebraska. I was in the room at Southgate House the night they recorded their live album. Good stuff.

Another local band that sometimes sounds similar is 500 Miles to Memphis. If you're interested, try the album - "Blessed be the Damned". I've listened to it multiple times this past week and really like it. 500 Miles to Memphis self-identifies as the genre ' Americana Punk Rock. After multiple listens, I agree. Great stuff...

This just arrived, and need to play hooky and spin it 🙂

Stephen Stills / Manassas - S/T. Atlantic 2LP gatefold 1972.

👍🏼 I like Notorious a lot. Been played many many times over the years. The SQ may be a touch behind Sweetheart of The Rodeo, but a very strong release from an ever changing band.
