Currently I have my music on a Popcorn Hour A-500 which is a UPnP / DLNA server. I am toying with the idea of building a new server with a QNAP and the MinimServer app / software. I am after a streamer / media player that will allow me to use the NAS as an input. I currently connect to a PS Audio external DAC so the streamer’s DAC is not critical. I would like to stay under $3000.
I had my mind set on a Cambrisge Audio CXN V2 but killed that idea when I saw it did not allow for an external NAS and lacked support for DSD DSF files.
