That's a BS response from Friday Music.  I mean really, they won't disclose if the source they use to master the pressing is from the analog tape or a digital file?  I have a difficult time justifying buying from them again.  No wonder my copy from them of School Days (Stanley Clark) sounds more brittle than my original copy, an early US press.  The vinyl is much quieter, but the SQ on the original is better.
