@mammothguy54 thanks! I bought some Mullard 12ax7’s on his recommendation and put the Telefunken’s in my guitar rigs (just kidding, they are in storage). I’ll give him a call on Monday. It’ll probably cost me some interconnects as I’ve been wanting to ask him about that as well.

I got a crush on Kat. Watching her set up those turntables........ 

@sourpuss123 I realize everyone’s setup is unique and different, but I’ll mention that I’ve gone on the Funk’n’Groovin (Telefunken), Mullard, RCA “black plate” and so on 12AX7 adventure.  What I found that outdid the others far and away is the Brimar “box plate” with double mica support CV4035 from the late 60s/early 70s.  Made in England for the British Military and readily available for a fraction ($70 not long ago) of the aforementioned manufacturers.  Very open and spacious soundstage.  Works great for classical, jazz, rock, noise, you name it.
