wamono groove - this is a comp of deep japanese jazz-funk fusion featuring koto and shakuhachi played alongside your standard guitar, drums, bass, vibes, keys etc. really good 

checked this out on tidal and really liked it  @reubent Tom, you might like this - has an if Deodato were Japanese vibe goin on. Great fun.  

 

Just picked up a couple of albums by Hiromi. Voice, and Spark are the names of the albums. Modern/Fusion jazz.

I’m really enjoying them.

@curiousjim great to see you back on the thread.   I remember that you’re a big fan of Bill Evans.  have you heard the new “Spring”?

Thanks for the welcome back!  “You must believe in spring”, is another great album.  I just got “Under Current” and “Another Time”. 
There’s just something about the way he “Tickles The Ivory’s “ that I really enjoy! I also just got a copy of The Red Garland Trio, “At the Prelude”  I think it’s also very good, but it is just not as impromptu(?). I’m not sure of the correct word I’m looking for.
