Finding a specific cable
I saw a cable ad in one of the promotional emails that Audiogon sends out. Probably it was sometime in the last 6 months. They were flat, black speaker cables with a multi wire woven geometry. They looked to be a couple of inches wide (ea). Can anybody give me a lead on the name or brand or.....

That type of cable has high capacitance. Not good for some amplifiers. You can craft similar from ordinary ribbon cable if you must have flat cables. Better performance can be obtained by using woven ribbon.

Definitely think outside the box for EXCELLENT cables at prices so low they make people question "how good can they be?" I made the plunge buying a coax cable to compare to my Pangea Premier XL ($169). The cable I bought (free shipping/return) was about half the price. WOW. The only downside is it takes about 3 weeks to S Florida. That experience was so positive that I ordered a power cord and XLRs. The XLRs were from a well known highly reviewed cable company at ~ 10xs the price, as were the power cords, and speaker cables. This initial experience immediately led to replacing all the cables.
