need more POWER

This is the good sounding solution. If you are not ready yet… keep it in mind for later.
 

Add a two new direct lines. Direct lines from the breaker box significantly increase sound quality. One for the amp and one for the other audio equipment. You want the electrician to use 10 gauge wire. 

Direct lines remove your system from the regular household stuff… as most lines are connected in different areas. 
 

+1 for better power strip. The 20 amp line should have enough current for at least a 200 watt per channel amplifier.

This should do the trick. 12 awg internal wiring, deep cryogenically treated outlets.

A new power strip sounds , almost , too easy ! But great !

ghdprentice ; I was trying to avoid that if possible . Did it once for the main rig . Boy was the electrician annoyed at the 10 g. wire ! I pulled it but he still had to 

make the connections .

Focusing on HT, one 20 amp outlet should be plenty.  The good news is since it is 20amp, it should be 12 gauge from the breaker box.  

Focus on heavy power cables downstream of the wall outlet.  

"power strip" is a dirty word in audiophile circles.
