I upgraded from the MA 8900 to 611 monoblocks and a c22 pre-amp(didn’t need the 2700’s DAC). It is a significant improvement, and although I haven’t heard the 12000, I suspect these separates would be a substantial step up from it as well.
Mac MA 12000 integrated amp vs. Mac separates?
I wonder how much better sound quality would be using Mac Separates (mc611 pair), c2700 (or more expensive c1100 or c12000 preamps) than the new MA12000. Obvious the cost difference is doubled or tripled depending on which preamp.
