I have had great experiences with them. Like their products great value. Yes they are mid fi but they are at the top of that market. Yes they are not known for their customer service almost to the point of being smart asses. I guess that does keep cost down!
Schiit Audio
I am interested in purchasing the Loki Max, and I sent out some feelers asking a few questions to the email address they have on the website. No response for a few days. So I come here and I see very mixed opinions on them. Are they a decent company to deal with? Anyone has had any extreme negative experience dealing with them or with one of their products? The Loki Max checks all the right features..

I'm an "original" Freya owner and the thing is amazingly good...I also have a couple of Magni 3s, an original Loki, and a Bifrost 2 with the 64 bit upgrade, all excellent. I've never had issues communicating with the Schiit heads as I did have issues with an Aegir which they replaced and I ultimately returned the second one, no problemo. If you have issues with their warranty I suggest looking elsewhere or grow up...or both. |
Hey, @rman9! I have all my gear jammed into a small apartment; speaker placement is horrible Loki is awesome. I have the original four-band but it's all that's required. Easy to set-up, quiet and well built. Get on it .... |
I have a LOKI max and it is awesome in my view. I have a pass 250 connected to dynaudio 40’s. I dont use it much, but there are times I need to correct some bass booms or adjust bright recordings. It does not muck up the sound like the old eq’s The controls are very subtle and you can dial in just what you want. It it superbly built. |
