Bill, Lots of songs per side isn't it? on the Motown lp. I think back in the day, radio stations weren't playing songs over 3 minutes. There's a story about Simon & Garfunkel, one of their songs was slightly longer than 3 minutes. The label listed the song on the album 2 min. 65 seconds and got away with it.😁 |
@slaw The short songs keep it moving right along! Disc 1 has 9 & 10 songs of older stuff, maybe kept short to fit on 45rpm’s and jukebox discs? Interesting observation Steve, I agree radio probably had time limits too. I had never heard about S&G listing a track that way, funny! |
