The Eagles - One of these Nights - Mofi One Step - I can't say I am a big Eagles guy but damn this record sounds fantastic! The vinyl is likely the most quiet I have heard. Completely dead silent and the SQ and soundstage are EXCELLENT Bill Evans - Explorations - from the AP 45rpm box set - phenomenal |
Interesting observation. I concur, but as you say, it’s still quite good. Very good. I’ve had the CD for years, so my only comparison. I have to wonder if these releases were closer to what Van Gelder captured directly on tape, and cut as that. I did find myself wanting to crank the volume to get ‘more’ out of it, and that did help. Regardless, a stellar release. |
