Anybody help me unload all of this on Audiogon….
Hi guys, it’s been years since I’ve been on here, but I’ve found this to be a very trustworthy site with many long-time people on the forums. I bought a whole lot of gear, went to Brazil for a vacation and never came back. I just flew back for three weeks to sell a lot of recording equipment and all my audiophile gear. Problem is I can only stay for about a week at a time though I do come back frequently.
what I’m hoping for is to find someone from the San Francisco area who can be vouched for by members on here to sell the gear through Audiogon for me for commission as I don’t have time to list, ship and be here for payment.
Here is a partial list of what I have…
Bryston BCD1 CD Player
Velodyne Optimum 12 Subwoofer
R.E.L B3 Subwoofer
Paradigm Reference S2V.2 Monitors
Pass Labs X150.5
Pass Labs X250.5
Parasound Halo JC2
Magnapan MG 1.6 QR dark Cherry
Magnapan 1MG
Naim NAP 200
Moon i7 amp
Logitec Transporter
Usher BE 718
Dali Ikon 7 (2 pair, new in box)
…..and more.
Any suggestions regarding my situation would be greatly appreciated, again, I would like the individual to list these on Audiogon for me.
Many Thanks
.

As noted above, I suggest you contact The Music Room. Instructions for how to sell to The Music Room Sometimes The Music Room will pay you cash for the product and other times they will take the equipment on consignment. In any case, once you agree on the terms, they will send you a Federal Express label so you can ship the product to them. If you do not have the original boxes, they can help you will replacement packing boxes. They are very easy to deal with and very helpful. I have both sold and purchased products from The Music Room and highly recommend them. They recently paid me cash for an amplifier I had and the 2nd amplifier is on consignment at The Music Room.

Thanks for that guys….anyone know of a store like TRM in the San Francisco area? Since I respect this site (Audiogon) I feel a little disrespectful using the site to just get information to sell the gear elsewhere and I’m not even sure if this is against the rules. Still prefer (if possible) having someone lost on here for me on commission. Having said that I’m not sure how long it might take to sell on Audiogon compared to TMR. Its night time here now so not able to speak with TMR…..do I set the price on consignment there, do they do consignment. I know the other dealers would probably fleece me if I sold direct to them, my guess at least. Also, I’m very out of touch regarding prices…..I also have a lot of recording studio gear and a lot of synths and was pleasantly surprised to see that some synths and boxes have increased massively and have turned into something of a happy accident - TR 808 I bought in the 90s for $80 selling for up to $10,000 today!! I’m assuming the gear I listed above will mostly have devalued quite a bit - is that correct? |
