Can you even compare these two speakers? I need a nice smooth sounding speaker that plays loud and had great bass. Something tells me the Goldenear would be a better fit for me? What about the Focal 1038be?
FWIW I have been driving my GE Trition R 1.r's with a VAC Renaissance 70/70 amp and they sing with it. They are everything my old Genesis Model V's were and more.
I have been very impressed by the Triton series and own three different models. I think they are some of the best values in audio. Give them 5 hours or so to break in if you purchase them brand new. They sound a bit cold out of the box.
