Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

@big_greg    +1  Especially for "True Companion". Is the SQ of the entire album above average for a rock recording?

@dayglow I only played one disc this morning and didn't notice that it is sequenced for an automatic turntable, meaning I played side 1 and 4 and haven't listened to that song yet.  Sound quality is decent, but like most compilations, nothing to write home about.

chuck johnson - balsams

beautiful ambient record with a focus on steel guitar. recommended by a fellow forum member on the 'whats on your system' thread. i loved it so much on streaming that i bought the lp

@dayglow I listened to the other record this morning with a little more critical ear and can say the sound quality is very good.  While Donald Fagen is one of my favorite artists and the song was very good, it seemed a bit out of place on the soundtrack.

@big_greg   Thx for the update. Another vinyl LP now wanted for my collection. On the positive side $25 should get a M- copy. "Century's End" is another great Donald Fagen song from the soundtrack of "Bright Lights, Big City".
