Mcintosh class g amp compared to Mcintosh class ab amp

Class G is an amplifier circuit that allows for higher temporary power/watts on music peaks. Two B+ rail voltages are used. One is low voltage and one is higher. On music peaks the higher voltage rail is switched on. Afterwards the low voltage rail resumes operation. My Hitachi receiver is Class G. It can double its power on peaks, from 50wpc to 100wpc. Class G is an economic way to have a higher power amp without the cost and weight of a robust (more capacitance) power supply.

McIntosh does this so that 5 to 7 channels of amp power can fit on one chassis and stay within weight constraints. Imagine how big and heavy a McIntosh AB amp would be with 5 to 7 autoformers!

I am using the mcintosh mc-255 as a two channel amp for my mcintosh C-12000 preamp. I have two other amps a mcintosh mc-252 and a mc-2105 that has been refurbished at the factory in New York. At this time for now what amp would you use, my speakers are tekton moabs at 4 ohms.
