The Good Stuff

There are simply two kinds of music, good music and the other kind ... the only yardstick by which the result should be judged is simply that of how it sounds. If it sounds good it's successful; if it doesn't it has failed. --  Duke Ellington

This purpose of this thread is to provide a place to post outstanding examples of the Good Music.

an instrumental worth "hearing"

I remember jamming this through my modded CV D9s' with the Rotel rb-1090 and the Emotiva XPA-1 500W monos.

preamp B and K pro10-mc (newer version, no handles)

Acurus acd-11, and onkyo dx-7500 cd players..- audio quest Topaz rcas' to pre.

Onkyo - EQ 540- barely set, almost flat, only a few bars raised about 4-5 mms'

used on and in off position.

short run 8 awg copper speaker wire, audio quest quartz rca  from preamp to amp's.

also Stevie Wonders Original musiquarium remastered 2cd issue.

that was a nice fun rockin system, never distorted, or sounded strained at any volume.

I do miss the D9s', but I have gained so much more resolution, clarity, soundstage, non fatiguing sound, a more realistic midrange  schenker, moore, to the acoustic guitar which really, still gives me goosebumps on my neck and arms, and head with arlo guthrie, donovan, james taylor, tesla, the byrds, CCR, even some piano stuff by john dahlander, and eric darius jazzy stuff, to Johnny winter, and an old fav, uriah heep-the magicians birthday, y and t, dylan, even some odd kayak, atomic rooster, hawkwind, . Those schenker "thank you" cds, which sound just....perfect to me. all acoustic guitar, this midrange to me was made for guitar, acoustic and electric, it just hits you , first like a ocean wind, then a hammer drill when gary moore or jack starr let loose with a frantic yet perfectly executed blazing solo.

Slight controversy as to whether this should have been released.  Recorded as a soundtrack to a minor Canadian film.
