Tekton 6-10 Subwoofers: The Journey Starts Now!

I had the pleasure of communicating with Mr. Tekton himself, Eric Alexander, last week and am now counting the days until the arrival of my slightly larger, over-powered (500 wpc!) Tekton 6-10 subwoofers!  

Eric was terrific, very patient, and helped me get all the answers I needed before placing  my order.  GREAT customer service.

So, the countdown begins.  :)  I plan on pairing the subs with Martin Logan CLX's, Nearfield Acoustics Model 15's, and the lovely Tune Audio Marvel.  I may slide in a pair of MG 20.7's while I am at it. 

I will share my experiences in this thread.

The price is slightly higher. The dimensions are 16x18x71. We didn’t discuss frequency response specifics but I’m looking for fast and accurate for 2 channel critical listening, not dinosaur stomps! 😀

They will be in a dedicated room so should be safe from tipping risk!! 😇

They should hit the marks you are looking for. Only a bit bigger foot print and i doubt they will be tipping over. Had a pair of Kinergetics SW800 with five 10's. Should have never sold them. The 6-10's are in my future.

Yes, I was motivated by my recollections of the incredibly fast and realistic bass from my IRS Beta towers! I do think there is something about a vertical stack of subs that makes the bass sound more natural or “real”. BHBH

Possibly the fact that multiple woofers get raised vertically off the floor.  Hope you enjoy your new subs!
