Posts removed

Been here since 2000 but can’t remember posts being randomly removed.  Sux to take the time to try and help someone or offer an experience.  And you are removed.

Random may not be the right word, I had one removed that was within the rules which I’m crystal clear on.   It is not the first time.  It feels somewhat like a violation.

Happens all the time. If some member doesn't like you or what you say, simply flagging it will have it removed almost automatically, like it were being activated by some non sentient program with just enough working digits to do the task.

Appealing to the mods can have it restored...some times.

All the best,
Nonoise

With the exception of a thread where I was using special characters (@#$%&) to simulate profane language, the posts of mine that have been removed were in response to political comments.  And in all fairness, not long after my posts were removed, the whole thread would go to file 86.  So I can't complain about that.  As opposed to AA, for example; on that forum a political post stays if it fits the main mod's ideology and if it doesn't *poof* it's gone.

I suspect the algorithms are of a dog pile nature. One person not liking your post may not raise a flag. A few people may. With how polarized audiophiles seem to be, I could see this happening. There does seem to be groups of one belief or another that coalesce in packs.

If your post was removed but within the rules, then it was removed in error. Mistakes happen. If you contact the moderators your post will be restored. I have found the moderators here to be very reasonable and thoughtful.
