It’s recorded very well. And, fantastic music and performances if you like English romantic style compositions.

@bkeske  I love Williams’ canon. Out of loyalty to my great aunt (the founder) I have the Angel Records release with Adrian Boult conducting but was looking for something with a more fidelity.

I love Boult conducting Williams, and yes, most all are on Angel. I have a few of them. Many folks I know who primarily listen to classical, also really enjoy those Angel releases, still. 

I forgot that, yes, you did mention once that your great aunt was a founder of Angel. Pretty incredible. I have many many Angel LP’s, and they are all consistently good.

The Chandos release definitely has more ‘fidelity’. That one was a 1985 reissue/DMM remaster release, but have a feeling the original from 1979 was true analog. Regardless, sounds fantastic.
