Do you have a speaker that’s not a big name maker but punches above its weight? Why? @mysteriousmrm +1 on Spatial. My M3 Turbos were fantastic until I just saw them for financial reasons period but they are resolving while not being distant at all. really convinced me of how good open baffles could be.
White debris on front of cartridge @vinylvin good point!
White debris on front of cartridge Thanks all. I do use my VPI 16.5 to clean my records but I haven't looked for a correlation between recently cleaned and older vinyl and that debris accumulation. I'll keep my eye out on that.
Can AI Build a speaker? My first down the rabbit hole question would be how to determine the crossover frequency? If you gave the AI your cabinet dimensions or baffle dimensions and the drivers you were using, could spit out a list of crossover components?
Do you have a speaker that’s not a big name maker but punches above its weight? Why? @bassbuyer +1 on Philharmonic. Also, Decware. Beautifully tuned speakers that are worth the wait.
DIY Speaker Kits, a good idea? I started down this road/hobby last year, initially with a Parts Express kit and now having just finished my own design based off a Soundblab YouTube tutorial. As @pindac @koestner point out, there are inherent learning curves and initial inve...
does it need to be complicated @mdalton Good point. I was holding back from a separate streamer as the OP didn't seem to be into that. However, I can +1 on the Yamaha and Wiim combo!

Eyes open or closed? It depends on who I'm with and what I think they'll look like in the morning.
Help deciding between two speakers. Your Project puts out more than enough power for either option. But as @yogiboy suggests, the Infinitys may need more than just re-foaming; their caps may need replacing as well and the wiring is probably due for replacement. They spec at 89db (wh...
Listening in car @sls883 do you find a difference in sound quality between bluetooth and cable? I find the latter is way better than the former in my car.
does it need to be complicated It sounds like you’re in the market for an integrated amp - not a preamp, correct? Some clarification questions: Would you want one with a built in phono stage, or do you have an existing phono stage? What turntable and cartridge are you runnin...
Single way or multiway In my younger days I was all for a multi-way, but nowadays I can usually handle just a single way before it's time to call it a night and cut the music.
Local pickup for speakers - should I let the buyer in the house or use the the garage? @whoopycat +1. Seriously. Maybe because like a few other people on this forum I too grew up in a pretty rough area of the country and now that I live in a pretty moderate safe place I find being paranoid is simply overkill. I've sold several piec...
