Another man down

Yes, the sun has gone down on one of the best. Truly one of the greats. When I was young rock'n roll freak (says dad) Gordon was my first real intro to melodic folk music. Opened a new world for me. And he was Canadian to boot. Gonna have a long listening session today.

RIP Gordon

He possessed one of those great rolling baritone folkie voices.  A fine guitar player, too. Whenever I pick up my acoustic guitar and do a song, I naturally gravitate to Gordon Lightfoot's style.

There's a very good documentary on his life and work, "If You Could Read My Mind" available on several streaming services. Highly recommended.
