Is it DIY, or is it professionally done? Who would you rather have working on your equipment, a $25/hr trainee or a physist/nuclear/mechanical engineer with 40 years of experience and lots of fabrication/shop experience?
And no, I’ve never had trouble selling equipment that I have modified, generally people are willing to pay extra for it. However, in reading the original post, I don’t think resale value is high on the concern list.
AZ is not gold pressed latinum. they are moderately priced. If you reread the original post, this fellow wants to do it himself but his hands no longer work well enough. Thus, I offered to do it for free, for an apparently aging audiophile. Don’t know his situation but more than willing to help.
I respect your opinion, just want to make sure you respect mine.
