these Luxman PD-444 have a rear track system that allows 2 tonearms, rear left can be long, right side regular length. Start with 1, add a second if/when desired. btw: I always advocate tonearms with removable headshell, so you can have a few headshells with a few cartridges mounted ready to go, i.e. MM Stereo; MM Mono; MC
