..Interesting no reviewers or worse the factory missed it  quality control  no  and I would bet its a hardware issues and wont be fixed due to complete design issues  boy I am happy  was going to buy one..perhaps its a easy fix  its a well build unit hope its not a big issue

Hi all, know this post is old. Has this tone control issue been fixed? I'm having trouble finding any info on it.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new P5 clearance.

Tanks..... Paul

@pdjmwj If you’re using tone controls there’s something much more seriously wrong with your system or room that should be addressed before resorting to tone controls.  Just my $0.02 FWIW.

I tend to see only the positive of having tone controls.  I have a Schiit Lokius connected to my tape loop.  I can turn on and off the tape loop and hear exactly how the Lokius is impacting the sound versus not having it in the signal path.  I think it is a worthwhile and fun piece of equipment.

With it I can add a bit of sparkle to the highs or a touch more bass should I choose which I sometimes do.

I tend to think of a speaker's voicing, as with any other piece of audio equipment, as that as interpreted by the designer.  So why not alter (slightly) this presentation if not 100% my preference in general or for a particular song?

Also just my $0.02 FWIW.
