Is Townshendisolation.com a scam site?

Hi, Is townshendisolation.com a scam site?

I have recently tried to purchase Seismic Bars from Townshendisolation.com and have had no change to my order status for 13 days now, using their online webchat and e-mailing the company multiple times gets no response, in fact the e-mail redirects to townshendaudio.com which I also have had no response from when submitting e-mail informing them about this behavior from the townshendisolation site. I e-mailed townshend audio to let them know of a potential clone site and also to try and figure out early if I had been scammed.

Given the lack of response from either site, I am going to now try and get my bank to reverse the card charges and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem since the products seem legit and people have actually purchased these successfully from somewhere. Looking online I can find no indication of either site being scammers so wanted to put this out there as a cautionary tale that would show up in a search for people with similar experiances.

At this stage I recommend never attempt to buy from from townshendisolation.com and am not impressed with townshendaudio.com's lack of response either, even though it is not their site and I am not looking for compensation from them, they could at least have saved me a few days by telling me I wether I have been scammed or not.

This is a sad first post after having joined and lurked here since 2010 but I have been lucky with online purcashing overall and am not ging to lose life-changing money on this. Just buyer-beware and due-diligence!!

At the time of this post the toenshendaudio.com page wont even load into my browser lol

website works for me.  I have bought from them.

My guess is they are on vacation or takend away for an emergency and you are getting all worked up over nothing.

While Amazon and bot emails have made holding your hand with communication hourly common, it isn't how many established companies do it.  If a company isn'tt automated so that bots send out emails, then it gets very time consuming.

I run a small business in my spare time.  I  do not send out an email when I recieve an item for repair, I don't send out an email when I ship something back, and I don't send tracking info.

Fortunately I'm quick and most people get their item back before they realize it is time for them to start pestering me.

Jerry

I just got a pair of super tweeters from them. They were slow to respond and send me a ship date, but when I mentioned canceling the order, they got things moving. I love these super tweeters.

Thanks for this good info ,it is really helpful and it would be great to be worked up over nothing rather than something!

I'll now wait a bit longer before taking action and definately post here on either outcome

Respecfully, I dont agree that from a customers perspective 13 days with no notification of delay or timeframes on the website due to stock delays, vacations or emergencies, no order updates and no reply to repeated attempts of communication is a good online model for current times.

A response or indication on any one of these and I would be fine, and I have previously  waited months for orders before (like most of us probably have)..Just pop that delay notification message somewhere on that website and we are golden!

However, as Jerry has said, we consumers are now used to information and quick replies and I appreciate his perpective (as I have no real idea of what it takes or how hard it is to run a business) even though not agreeing with townshendisolation's implementation of it.

If I am in the minority I might have to reassess my expectations and reallign to the norm as I eat humble pie...

Thinking about it, bot replies are pretty useless
