Pee Wee Herman has passed away

What a loss. When I first stumbled upon his show, I wondered why I wasn't subjected to his level of entertainment as a kid, but I did have Bugs Bunny and Soupy Sales. Someone always has to be the one who breaks the ice.

Google his 1991 conviction and his 2002 scandal and plea conviction. The stage, TV, and movie character persona had its real life issues.

Created for the stage, Pee-wee with his white chunky loafers and red bow tie would become a cultural constant in both adult and children’s entertainment for much of the 1980s, though an indecent exposure arrest in 1991 for exposing himself at an adult movie theatre would send the character into entertainment exile for years.

Loved Paul Reubens work.  I guess I first saw him in one of the Cheech and Chong movies.  The TV shows and the movies based on Pee-Wee were all great.

Just heard on the news that he won 22 Emmys. That's quite an achievement.
