I’ve used 2 Lokis for headphones or main rig (main system phones now, and video system) for a while and added the Max to the main system a couple of weeks ago. Amazingly cool, put between the preamp and power amp, no harm to the signal, no noise, and the relay system is really well done (like on my Freya). The original Lokis are also quiet and sound great, but the Max is on another level...the remote adjustment ability is a great thing allowing instant switching to see what’s what, and although I don’t use it on everything it’s great to bring out something buried in a mix as hey...recording producers have different tastes and sometimes need a hand. I use one preset for bass and treble boost for background music, one for just treble boost and one flat. Note it’s very easy to adjust anything with the remote, and it’s actually FUN! You need the poultry craniums though...you just do...certainly the Max is a great sounding investment making any system just better. A keeper.
