Add Powr power supply
As I had a spare Kingrex 12v LPS with a Nordost Brahma power cord lying around, I decided to replace the stock PSU on my Symphony pro PS. Very worthwhile, indeed. The system seems to play 1-2db louder with increased clarity and sound stage. Add Powr is a significant improvement to a system‘s power supply.

I started a few weeks ago with the ADD POWR power bar and a couple Eau4's, I was moved enough to invest in a Soccer 4. One of the Eau4's is plugged into the second system circuit and one is plugged into a buddy's system and he isn't giving it back. Land and Mark and are frequent flyers with my big rig. Lane, a singer is not interested in owning gear wept when I played Rutter's Requiem aeternam. Mark startled when the first notes of Deacon Blues leapt out of the blackness. They both pointed to more clarity, punch dynamics. Mark was alert to the pronounced positive soundstage changes enhancing the holographic illusion. He is contemplating a substantial upgrade to his very pleasing Magico/Krell/Aurender rig. (We listened to six albums of his choosing) We are collectively not blown away. Rather, the music at times lures us into emotional rides and other times grabs us by the throat pulling us under. I have little idea what's going on here except for the outcome. I did dial the phono gain back a hair to count for the increased presence, leading edge attack and sound pressure levels with vinyl. |
@steakster I agree. Different perspectives can elevate the discussion. |
@wideload You are refering to the Sorcer X4. You mean to say that the X4 did not blow you away? Increased signal level is evident out of the box, and then faster attack / longer decay times become more acute as the sonics lure you in and one becomes more immersed in the sound. |
