Looking for decent DAC with volume control

As the title says, i'm looking for a DAC with volume control ( analog preferred ). Recommendations are appreciated. Thank you.

My budget would be 3 to 4k. I think used for now unless something happens that allow my finances to stretch a bit further. I'm looking at Feb or March to make this purchase. Iniatially i was looking for an R2R but i realize there are very good DACs out there that i haven't heard of that sound as good or better. My preferences are transparency as i like a deep soundstage with a balanced sound and also good imaging.
