Drawer problem in Mark Levinson 39 cd processor

Any one can help for Drawer Problem in Mark Levinson 39 .
This player has long time stored and now the drawer is not open at all (we removed the traanport screw).
Between some time it's work extremely and suddenly it is not working.I do not know what is problem exactly.
Please suggest is there any problem in Transport or lens.
Because i am not having knowledge in Technical side.

Call Madrigal tech and they have a re-calibration step that possibly might help? They were very helpful with me when I had my Proceed CDD. Also might want to search here and Audio Asylum. Goodluck.

I will preface my comments with the assumption that so far as you know, there is not a CD stuck in the drawer!

I have a 390S that is now my backup (since I jumped on the AR CD7/8 bandwagon) and I follow Levinson's recommended drawer calibration procedure about every two weeks. It works best if the drawer is open and even better if it is closed part way, but it works (so I have been told by the former dealer) even when you start with the drawer closed.

1. Turn off the power at the back of the 39.
2. Press the drawer open button on the front of the 39 and keep it pressed while you turn on the power switch on the back of the 39.
3. With the drawer open button still pressed, watch the front display on the 39 change as the 39 runs through its cold start procedure. When you see the word "calibrate" in the display, remove your finger from the drawer open button and let the 39 cycle through whatever number of drawer openings and closings its software determines to be necessary until the drawer is deemed (by the software) to be calibrated.

If this doesn't work, you will probably need to send it in for service. And from what I have heard/read, their service is unfortunately quite expensive.

Good luck!
I've own both a ML No. 37 and Proceed CDD, both of these transports have had drawer issues from time to time. Right now the CDD doesn't open up completely. I've also heard of many others having issues with ML transports, seems like ML has some iffy software.

I also hope the re-calibration steps 4musica speaks of works for different ML transports, would hate to screw up the software. Has anyone tried this re-calibration procedure on other ML models? And yes, their service is very expensive, the reason I haven't repaired the No. 37.
Thanks you all for the suggestion. I have approched their
dealer who is asking for the new unit price to repair it.
I will try as per 4misica44107 told. Let us see.......still I like very much sound from this player.
