Can a DAC do double duty?
Hi All,
I have Eversolo streamer going to DENAFRIPS Pontus via USB. Then XLR’s from Pontus to my processor.
I have an older Pioneer Elite CD carousel which has coax. Can I go coax from CD player to Pontus, then Pontus to processor via RCA in’s on my processor?
Obviously I would be listening to either/or not at the same time. But is this doable? And if so does it do any harm to Pontus?

I’d think all you need is the one XLR connection from the Pontus to the processor and just switch inputs on the Pontus to toggle between the streamer and CD player. I’m guessing you’re looking at adding another RCA connection because you’d rather use the processor to toggle? Might be interesting to try both ways and see if you perceive any sonic differences. |
