I just ordered a pair of Psvane 12au7 for my Octave Jubilee preamp.  I currently have Philips ECC80, Philips ECC82, and Gold Lion ECC82’s in my preamp.  I will post my impression.

@Audioquest4life, I sent you a PM for personal advice too.

The sound signatures have some differences: the ART series is warmer, while the Horizon series is more neutral and natural. It's similar to the Sennheiser HD600 and HD650. Although the HD650 is more expensive, the biggest difference between them lies in their sound signatures.

In terms of lifespan, the Horizon mini tubes all adopt the latest internal reinforcement structure technology, which indeed results in a longer lifespan.

Currently, the PSVANE STORE on Amazon is our official store. We only sell the HORIZON and ACME series products in our official store.

Sorry but you didn’t fully answer my question about the Amazon Psvanee Store website. For the Acme series it shows the following 805 tube - shipper and seller - Psvane Direct; 211,300B, 845, 2A3, 274B tubes shipper and seller Salience Hi Fi Audio. How is Salience affiliated with Psvane? Why aren’t the Acme tubes shipped by Amazon versus from China; what’s the customer service benefit that supposedly accrues from being on Amazon for the Acme tubes?

@ampus,

Message received. I want to follow up, but add some of my information regarding experiences with the Psvane T series Mark II and Reference series. The reference series are gold plated pins with gold etching on the glass compared to the normal Psvane series. Same with the T series MKIi. From my recollection, the reference series was replaced with the T series MK11, and perhaps, now called WE and ACME.

I used RFT, Siemens, JJ, and Sovteks in the 12AU7 position on my Octave Jubilee reference preamp. The Psvane imparted just music, nothing more nothing less. No overemohais of bass, highs, or mids. Just all fell in place. Yes, other tubes may have had more mid range but lacked bass, or that sparkle up top. This is my system so that is my impression. Compared to the classic Psvane, which sound more like Sovteks and JJs to me, the original Reference and MKIIs are stellar in performance.

With all the changes that have occurred over the years, my biggest question is how do we obtain the reference/MKII replacements? Is the Art series the new top of the line? Has the Art series replaced the MKII/Reference? I am little confused as I don’t see any ACME Psvane tubes.
